To Whom It May Concern:

Re: Caldwell Sutherland Designs

Our house located at 9030 Briarcrest Lane in Beverly Hills was for sale for 60 days. We had prospective buyers come and look but none seemed seriously interested. Then a couple from England saw the house and fell in love with some of its aspects but had serious reservations. My agent, Natalie Janger of Dalton Brown & Long, suggested we call Caldwell Sutherland Designs to look at our home and make appropriate suggestions to make this sale happen.

We followed her recommendation to have two sets of plans drawn. One was the remodel of the kitchen and dining room, extension of the hallway, and adding a bedroom and bath to the children's area. The second set was for the master bedroom and bath to be remodeled and extended along with a new deck to extend over the existing garden. She wanted this done so people could see the potential at a quick glance.

All the trim was painted in the existing colors, though the front door was striped to a natural wood and finished in a natural tone. The house looked newer and crisper and for a surprising minimal amount.

As for the garden, it was a natural beauty for us from the beginning. Caldwell felt that a few flowers were needed to flow up the walkway to add color and give warmth as people made their way to the front door. Flowers were also added around the shrubs to set them off and give it a lush look. When all was finished, it certainly did.

On the couple’s next visit, Caldwell Sutherland joined my agent Natalie to meet with them. She then walked them through the proposed additions and they were “sold”, right then and there. They bought our house, live there with their two children and could not be happier.

This service is so valuable, you have no idea. We were too close to our house to see the obvious. People have little imagination. You have to call the professionals when it comes to your own home. Caldwell pointed things out that we had gotten so used to that we did not notice any more. I wish we had called Caldwell before putting it on the market in the first place as it would have saved us so much time and effort. And still in the end, we actually got more for our house than expected.

We recommend Caldwell Sutherland highly and are sure you will have the same easy experience as we did. The suggestions that were made enhanced the appearance of our home, and the plans and personal attention to the walkthrough closed our sale. Without Natalie bringing in Caldwell, this sale may never have happened.
